Hazards Identification
Danger · Hazardous ingredients: diphenylmethane-diisocyanate, isomers and homologues Harmful if inhaled. It causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled. May cause allergic skin reaction. Suspected of causing cancer. May cause irritation of breath. May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Wear protective gloves / protective clothing / eye protection / face protection. Do not breathe dust / fume / gas / mist / vapors / spray. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear personal respiratory protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. If there are contact lenses, remove them if they are easy. Continue rinsing. IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If experiencing respiratory symptoms: Call a POISON CENTER / doctor. Dispose of contents / container in accordance with local / national / international regulations. Contains isocyanates. May cause allergic reaction.
First Aid Measures
Description of first aid measures · General information: Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours, so it is medical observation for at least two 24-hour after an accident. To transfer patients to fresh air. Consult doctor immediately. · After inhalation: Supply fresh air and to be sure call for a doctor. In case of unconsciousness bring patient transport in stable side position. In case of complaints consult a physician. · After skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Cleaning with soap and water, if possible with polyethylene glycol 400. Seek immediate medical advice. · After eye contact: Rinse opened eye under running water for at least 15 minutes. Consult doctor immediately. · After swallowing: Drink plenty of water and stay in the fresh air. Do not induce vomiting, seek medical help immediately. Consult doctor immediately.
Firefighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media. CO2, powder or water spray. Use fire fighting measures that suit the environment. · Extinguishing media for safety reasons unsuitable: Water with full jet In a fire can be released: Carbon monoxide (CO) Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Personal protective equipment
General protective and hygienic measures: Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed. Wash hands before breaks and after work. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing. · Respiratory protection: In case of brief exposure or low pollution use respiratory filter device of intensive or longer exposure use respiratory protective device that is independent of circulating air. · Protection of hands: Protective gloves. The glove material must be impermeable and resistant to the product / the substance / the preparation. Select the glove material taking into account the penetration times, rates of diffusion and degradation. · Material of gloves The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Disposal
The disposal of the material must be in accordance with national legislation. · Uncleaned packaging: Disposal must be made according to official regulations. The container can be reused when cleaned or exploit the material.
